Centre Implementation Guide

This is the paid Centre Access layer. It helps directors and educational leaders roll the tools out across a team without creating another overwhelming program.

The pathway

Notice → Choose → Try → Track → Share

1

Start with one room

Do not launch it across the whole centre at once. Pick the room with a motivated leader or the room that needs support most.

2

Use the room screen

Use the free Classroom Screening Tool to identify the biggest room pattern. This makes the free tool part of a paid implementation pathway.

3

Choose one PMI focus

Sensory, physical, social, emotional, language, communication or play. One focus gives the team a chance to succeed.

4

Track for four weeks

The Room Tracker creates evidence of use, educator reflection and small wins without needing formal case notes.

5

Share a small win

Use one staff meeting to share what changed. This builds momentum faster than another training lecture.

6

Deepen with training

When the same pattern keeps appearing, direct educators to the relevant PMI course content for the why behind the strategy.

Team meeting

20-minute staff meeting agenda

  • 2 min: Name the problem kindly — “We are seeing more children needing support to settle, move, play or join in.”
  • 4 min: Pick one room focus from the screening or educator noticings.
  • 5 min: Open the Strategy Library and choose one strategy everyone can understand.
  • 5 min: Fill in the Room Tracker together: when, who, what materials, what small win to watch for.
  • 4 min: Decide when the team will check back in and who will record the win.
“This is not about adding another program. It is about making one small, practical change visible enough that we actually use it.”
Director scripts

Wording you can use with your team

“We are going to stop trying to fix everything at once. This month we are choosing one pattern, one strategy and one small win.”
“If a child is on your mind, use the Noticing Tool. If the whole room feels hard, use the Room Tracker.”
“The goal is not perfect behaviour. The goal is educators feeling clearer about what they are seeing and what to try next.”
“We are looking for evidence of small change: a quicker recovery, a calmer transition, more joining in, or less adult rescue.”
